UTIDoc

Terms of Service

Last updated: July 7, 2026

1. Service Description

UTIDoc.com ("UTIDoc," "we," "us," or "our") provides an asynchronous telehealth platform that connects patients with board-certified physicians for the evaluation and treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs). Our service includes a clinical intake questionnaire, physician review, and electronic prescription to the patient's chosen pharmacy.

2. Eligibility

To use our service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be biologically female
  • Not currently be pregnant or suspect pregnancy
  • Be physically located in Florida at the time of your visit - UTIDoc currently serves Florida only
  • Have symptoms consistent with an uncomplicated UTI as determined by our intake screening

Our intake process screens for medical conditions and symptoms that require in-person evaluation. If you do not meet eligibility criteria, you will be informed immediately and will not be charged.

3. Not Emergency Care

UTIDoc is NOT an emergency medical service.

If you are experiencing any of the following, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately: high fever, severe flank or back pain, inability to urinate, blood in urine with severe pain, confusion, or any symptoms you believe may be life-threatening.

4. Payment Terms

The telehealth visit fee is $49, which covers physician review, clinical evaluation, and electronic prescription submission. This fee does not include the cost of the medication itself, which is purchased separately at your pharmacy.

Payment is processed securely through Stripe. FSA and HSA payments are accepted.

Refund policy: If the reviewing physician determines that your condition is not appropriate for telehealth treatment and rejects the case, you will receive a full automatic refund. Refunds typically appear on your statement within 5 to 10 business days.

5. 2-Hour Guarantee

If your case is approved and your prescription is not transmitted to your selected pharmacy within 2 hours, your visit is free and we will refund your $49 in full.

How the clock is measured: the 2-hour period begins when your payment is confirmed and ends when your prescription is electronically transmitted to the pharmacy you selected during intake. Transmission time is recorded automatically for every visit.

The guarantee does not apply where:

  • Telehealth treatment is determined not to be clinically appropriate for you - in that case you receive a full refund regardless
  • We need to contact you for additional clinical information and are awaiting your reply
  • The pharmacy you selected cannot be reached electronically, is closed, or rejects the transmission
  • The delay results from a failure of a third-party pharmacy network, payment processor, or e-prescribing service outside our control

How to claim: email support@utidoc.com with your confirmation code within 7 days of your visit. Approved claims are refunded to your original payment method.

This guarantee relates to the speed of our service only. It is not a guarantee that any prescription or specific medication will be issued; all clinical decisions rest with the reviewing physician.

6. Physician Review

All clinical decisions are made by independent, board-certified physicians licensed in the state where care is provided. UTIDoc facilitates the technology platform but does not practice medicine. The prescribing physician exercises independent medical judgment for each case.

7. Prescriptions

If approved, your prescription will be sent electronically to the pharmacy you selected during intake. UTIDoc does not guarantee that any specific medication will be prescribed. The physician may select the most appropriate antibiotic based on your clinical information, allergies, and current medications.

8. Informed Consent

Telehealth informed consent is collected at the start of your intake, before any clinical questions, and a tamper-evident record of your consent is stored securely. By consenting and completing your visit, you agree to:

  • Asynchronous telehealth evaluation and treatment
  • Electronic transmission of your prescription
  • Communication via email regarding your visit status, prescription, and follow-up care
  • The collection and use of your health information as described in our Privacy Policy

9. Limitation of Liability

UTIDoc provides a technology platform connecting patients with physicians. We are not liable for any adverse reactions to prescribed medications, misdiagnosis, or complications arising from treatment. Our service is limited to uncomplicated UTIs and is not a substitute for comprehensive medical care.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UTIDoc's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service.

10. Privacy and Health Information

We apply HIPAA-level safeguards and Florida's medical-records confidentiality law (Fla. Stat. §456.057) to all patient records. Your identifiable health information is stored in a dedicated encrypted medical-records vault, encrypted in transit and at rest, with every access audited. For details, see our Privacy Policy and Notice of Privacy Practices.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
